1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using FileShrimp, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

FileShrimp is a desktop application that uses artificial intelligence to analyze and suggest descriptive filenames for your media files (images and videos). The service is provided on an "as is" basis.

3. Account Registration

To use FileShrimp, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Credits and Payments

Free Credits

New accounts receive 100 free credits. These credits do not expire but are non-transferable and have no cash value.

Purchased Credits

Additional credits can be purchased through the application. Credits are non-refundable once purchased. Each file analysis consumes one credit.

BYOK License

The "Bring Your Own Key" license is a one-time purchase that allows unlimited file processing using your own Anthropic API key. License keys are non-transferable and tied to a single machine.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Process content that violates others' intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack the software
  • Share or resell your account or license key
  • Use automated scripts to abuse the service
  • Process content that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights

6. Intellectual Property

FileShrimp and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by FileShrimp and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain all rights to your files. We do not claim ownership of any content you process through the service.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not guarantee that:

  • The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • AI-generated suggestions will be accurate or appropriate
  • The service will meet your specific requirements

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FileShrimp shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, profits, or goodwill.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or through the application. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the application or by contacting support.
